Scope Of Work
The Town of Portsmouth needed to expand their old, cramped gym, and hired Advanced Building Concepts to fulfill the role of constructing a full size state-of-the-art gymnasium, that would renew pride in the school. Situated on top of the hill on campus, this modern gymnasium overlooks the school's playing fields.
Ground up construction of the new high school gymnasium included a full regulation basketball court and four practice courts, full boys and girls locker rooms and retractable bleacher seating, with a full mezzanine over the locker rooms for potential future expansion. Due to the strict budget, we were asked to cut costs wherever possible. We were able to do so by changing materials, and using our vast resource of vendors and subcontractors to get the building completed on time and under budget, without sacrificing the integrity of the building that was to represent a town's commitment to high school athletics. Construction included the use of a state-of-the art gymnasium flooring system, and sky lights to allow natural light to fill the complex during school hours.
