Scope Of Work
Founded over 100 years ago by a group of local teachers, the Boston’s Children’s Museum provides an interactive environment for hands-on learning. In 2007, the museum underwent a renovation, which included the addition of the 30,000 sq. ft. Boston Children’s Museum plaza and an expansive green roof. These new additions provided the opportunity to create stimulating outdoor environments that carry the museum’s mission beyond its doors and into the landscape. A native garden serves as a year-round laboratory, while massive raw marble boulders inspire imaginative play and wonder. Elsewhere, boldly patterned walkways stimulate and direct traffic, while elements like seating and paving playfully experiment with texture and scale.
