Scope Of Work
Lauderdale Marina 1900 SE 15th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 3331615th Street Ft Lauderdale Florida
Historic Lauderdale Marina, located along the inland waterway in the yachting capital of the world, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The marina facility is one of the region's oldest family owned & operated marinas (established in 1948). Lauderdale Marina is prized for its enviable location just minutes from Port Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. A full service marina featuring the award winning Fifteenth Street Fisheries waterfront restaurant, a 365 foot fuel dock with diesel, ethanol-free gas and dock store, Boston Whaler boat dealership, service & parts department, and boat slips for yachts up to 165 feet.
Lauderdale Marina's 365' fuel dock - the longest in Florida underwent a face lift in 2015-2016.
The North fixed pier was repaired in early 2015. Upon completion of the fixed pier refurbishment all fuel piping was undertaken. All existing piping was purged and removed properly per local AHJ. New UPP Ul-971 UV rated double wall piping was installed under the newly refurbished North Pier and under the existing South Pier Platform. 316 Stainless steel hangers were installed at 4-5’ intervals to allow for a compliant installation. Diesel piping was increased in diameter to 3” to allow higher speed fueling throughout the fuel dock.
The old dispensers and piping stanchions on both the fixed pier and floating dock were also replaced. Eight (8) new Pump Measure Control Commander High speed marina dispensers were installed. Each fueling point included new 100' spring rewind Hannay Stainless Steel Hose Reels with custom PMC Stainless Steel Covers. Each High Speed Dispenser included 2-hoses which allowed the client to fuel more boats in a shorter time frame.
The compliance monitoring system was upgraded to a Veeder-root TLS-350 to allow monitoring of all piping and valve sumps throughout the fuel system both onshore and over the water.
A Progressive International Electronics console ( PIE) was installed to replace the existing authorization console. With the possibility of 16 fueling positions being operated simultaneously, the PIE console was the only choice to control, monitor, and record fuel sales.
Lauderdale Marina’s owners and staff have had a special relationship with Petroleum Marine Consultants,LLC for close to 20 years. We consider Lauderdale Marina more than a client, we are partners in the past and future success for both organizations.
