Scope Of Work
Mesa, Arizona is a growing suburb about 20 minutes east of Phoenix. Dignity Health recently picked Mesa as the site for a small, 50-bed hospital to serve the growing community.
Dignity Health’s Arizona General Hospital in Mesa is a 3-story, steel structure that provides inpatient surgery services, an emergency room, 4 operating rooms, a pharmacy, and medical offices. Outside the hospital, there is a helipad that is be available to transport critical patients to larger hospitals in Phoenix. There is also a surface covered and uncovered parking for patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.
Big-D Construction crews used a variety of different materials including roof screens, stucco, and aluminum composite panels for the exterior of the structure. They utilized Building Information Modeling to create three-dimensional models of the hospital.
