Company History

As a mechanical contractor in Sioux Falls for over 60 years, Baete-Forseth HVAC has a rich company history. Mr. Lou Baete and Mr. Mel Forseth founded the company in 1945 and began to build a reputation for quality workmanship and superior service. When Arthur B. deWit purchased the company in 1985, he kept the name Baete-Forseth to represent a continuance of his high level of service.

The Sioux Falls area has grown incredibly since 1985, and is nearly unrecognizable as the prairie town it was in 1945. Baete-Forseth HVAC has literally been involved with this growth from the start and has worked with thousands of commercial and residential customers as the city has grown. Baete-Forseth HVAC will continue to be on the cutting edge of the HVAC industry to keep pace with the Sioux Falls area for many generations to come.

Company Profile

Baete-Forseth HVAC has been a mechanical contractor in Sioux Falls for over fifty-five years. Mr. Forseth and Mr. Baete founded the company in 1945. It was purchased by Arthur B. DeWit in February of 1985. During our years we have installed and serviced HVAC systems for numerous facilities. Arthur B. DeWit currently serves as CEO of the company. Robert A. DeWit serves as President.

Our staff currently includes one registered professional mechanical engineer, one graduate engineer, a CAD draftsman, three estimator/project managers, one operations manager, clerical staff, sixty plus journeyman sheet metal workers, 30 plus apprentice sheet metal workers, ten pre-apprentice sheet metal workers, and fourteen full time service technicians. Baete-Forseth is a family owned business and a Lennox / Amana dealer, as such we provide quiet, clean, energy efficient products which result in low energy costs.
