Scope Of Work
Complete renovation including removing over half of the exterior façade and existing structure to make the building 6’ wider and 3’ longer.
The remaining front section of the historic building was stripped down to the exterior wall. All the mechanical and electric is 100% new. The front section was left intact and will be completely refurbished.
Challenges:
1) supporting the front section to remain during demolition of the reaming section. We are building a steel frame inside the building section to remain before we start demolition. This will be made of 12’’ steel beams.
2) The steam station for the adjacent property (presidents house) is located in our building. The system must stay in 100% operation throughout out construction.
3) The pathway for the new electric and chilled water services runs through 2 adjacent property’s.
4) There are noise ordinances that we must follow.
5) The project is LEED Silver which means all trash must be separated and sorted before leaving the property.
6) Completion is not until December 31 -2020, this is still a very tight schedule.
