Scope Of Work
Develop an upscale, purpose-built student housing community on a 2-acre site located 1,000 feet from the Towson University campus and situated within Towson Row – a planned 1.2 million square-foot mixed-use development with cosmopolitan restaurant and retail space, an office tower, luxury high-rise apartments and a hotel.
The Solution
Gilbane Development Company developed Altus, a 214-unit/720-bed property that consists of fully-furnished apartments, each with a living room, full kitchen, in-unit washer/dryer, high-speed internet and a flat-screen TV. The unit mix includes studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, 3-bedrooms and 4-bedrooms with an average square footage of 1,150 SF.
The Details
The project includes a robust amenities package with a clubroom, fitness center, computer lounge, study rooms, game room, and two elevated courtyards (which collectively includes a swimming pool, grilling area and other outdoor amenities such as fire pits and hammock pergolas).
