Scope Of Work
Lubbock's Fire Station No. 1 was designed and built to respect and honor the legacy of the Lubbock Fire Department. Throughout the new station, there are pieces of history, including a full-size, antique fire truck with open-air seating and a wood ladder connected to the side.
The new fire station is located on 19th Street and Texas Avenue and was a needed to house modern ladder trucks and improve efficiency and response time. Located on the site of the city's former Health Department, nearby roads were widened and water lines were upgraded for the 16,800 SF facility. Fire Station No. 1 is a welcome addition and aids in the downtown revitalization of Lubbock.
