Scope Of Work
MANHATTAN VILLAGE MALL EXPANSION
The expansion includes the addition of 53,300 SF of open-air dining, retail space and a 2.5 level parking deck, which increases the total square footage to 648,000 SF. The parking deck incorporates steel-frame retail shell spaces within the footprint of each garage and the skin has a combination of metal panel, plaster, ornamental metal, and concrete form liners and connects to suspended bridges from the new parking structures to existing retail buildings. Work included the demolition of an existing parking lot and associated structures. Extensive site work was completed connecting the existing mall into the new courtyard created by the expansion. In addition to the new dining and retail experience, the outdoor expansion includes a plaza featuring a cascading water fountain and rolling grass hills, making it a lively coastal destination for people to gather and socialize.
MANHATTAN VILLAGE NORTH VILLAGE PARKING DECK
W.E. O’Neil provided demolition and construction of a new four-level parking deck. Construction includes a suspended bridge from the new parking structure retrofitted to the Macy’s building. Supporting projects to the development consists of the construction of the Macy’s Building Pad, intersection improvements at Marine, 33rd and Rosecrans, and extensive on-site work constructing a ramped connection between the upper and lower parking lots.
