Our Story
GPS Construction was founded in 2009 by owner Greg Schubert with the vision of creating a commercial construction company with the core values of honesty, integrity, and accountability. The GPS Construction team’s vast experience provides our clients with the trust and confidence that GPS Construction will complete projects on time, within budget, and provide a high quality product that is a reflection of our company values.
Owner Greg Schubert started in the industry with developer Buzz Oates in 1990 and worked with him for fifteen years. This experience instilled a “developer’s perspective” to ensure all costs are considered, obtain effective bid coverage, compile a trustworthy team of subcontractors, and make every effort to minimize change orders. Business partner Roger Senf and Project Manager Marty Bechtel joined the GPS team shortly after their departure from Buzz Oates as GPS Construction launched. Their experience and integrity has made an invaluable impact on the success of GPS Construction. They share the vision of providing a team environment that places the client and its project needs above all.

GPS Construction provides turn-key design build services as well as building to our clients’ individual project specifications. New construction, structural upgrades, façade renovations, tenant improvements, ADA compliance, and construction management are some of the many services provided. GPS utilizes a core group of experienced subcontractors that we have worked with for many years. These subcontractors share our passion for construction and putting the customer first.
GPS Construction places our relationship with our clients above all. Repeat and referral business have been the keys to our sustained growth which has come from building trust and confidence with our clients and strong local ties with the real estate brokerage and property management community.
GPS Construction has adapted to the constantly changing codes and regulations that can create costly changes and delays. Our goal is to identify all materials, equipment, labor and coordination issues required for successful completion of a project. We work directly with designers and local municipalities to insure that all costs are considered in the overall project costs. Avoiding costly change orders is critical in building trust with our clients.
