Overview
MT2 was contracted to perform turnkey site remediation of lead and arsenic contaminated soil and sediment in compliance with Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and US EPA requirements.
MT2 Services
MT2 completed turnkey site remediation including: Site preparation (erosion controls, access roads, de-watering, and installation of a temporary swale and stream diversion); Excavation of contaminated soil and sediment up to approximately 2 feet below grade; In-situ ECOBOND® remediation; Transportation and disposal to a nonhazardous landfill of treated soils; and Final site restoration including restoration of wetlands in accordance with the wetland restoration protocol and applicable permits and approvals.
Outcome
The property was successfully remediated and redeveloped into a wetlands and park by the City of Northborough.
