Scope Of Work
Steps from the ocean, Viceroy Santa Monica is an icon of the LA beach scene and acclaimed for style and luxury. The public space renovation ushered in a new era of forward-driven design.
The overhaul included a complete transformation of the common areas including the lobby, restaurant, outdoor patio, and open-air indoor-outdoor wraparound bar and adjacent lounge. The renovation brought about an all-new poolside experience; a re-stylized lounge; inspired new meeting spaces, a revamped fitness center; a new indoor-outdoor restaurant, Sugar Palm Ocean Avenue; and a wraparound bar that extends outside.
Specialty Bomanite floor was installed within all Level 1 public areas creating the appearance of a Terrazo floor with modern materials. Wood ceiling elements carry through the lobby and into the newly renovated porte-cochere for a seamless transition through the large glass doors of the interior and exterior space. The entry drive was “opened” to allow for visibility of the property from the street and views of the Ocean in the distance.
