Our Story
FM Contracting was founded by Ford Matthews in 2008. He attended East Carolina University where he received a BS in Construction Management and a minor in business. Ford started his career as a Project Engineer in 2001 with a large commercial contractor in Baltimore, MD. After his stint with Whiting-Turner Contracting he decided to move back home and pursue his dream of starting his own company. When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife Cindy and their twin boys fishing, boating and playing sports.
