Scope Of Work
Located in SeaWorld Orlando, this family-friendly thrill ride will transport guests to an icy mountain terrain on its 1,900-foot track full of exhilarating twists and turns. Featuring high-speed transfer track technology and a quadruple-launch system, the attraction launches riders both forward and backward multiple times culminating in a 52-mph, 100-degree angle, 93-foot drop. In addition to the coaster, Balfour Beatty transformed a dining staple into Altitude Burger, which ties into the Wild Artic attraction area.
The steepest diving roller coaster in Florida and vibrant new dining option were built on a tight site in the middle of an active theme park. The team utilized a detailed scheduling plan that enhanced collaboration with SeaWorld. The team and park staff kept an open line of communication on ongoing events and park operations while providing a multi-faceted acceleration strategy that kept the project on track. The project team worked conscientiously to maintain the guest experience by mitigating risks and interruptions to park guests and animal habitats.
