The Penobscot Co., Inc.

The Penobscot Company, Inc. had its roots in the year 1970, beginning a new decade. Simpler times, perhaps; but no less challenging for the construction industry, as not long afterward it experienced its first recession of the mid '70s.

At that time the company's primary focus was on residential construction in traditional New England communities. Historic restoration was a large part of the business, and we acquired an appreciation for the craftsmanship of the 19th century as we followed in the footsteps of the period artisans.

Now in our 44th year, The Penobscot Company still has a strong mission, and continues to seek challenging opportunities and projects that combine experience, talent, and creativity. The real challenge facing us in this decade will be to deliver better products, efficiently, for less cost and overhead. We pride ourselves for constructing each project with value added.
