Scope Of Work
After partnering on more than 20 construction projects, PC was pleased to help L.L.Bean construct its first store in Vermont – an 18,000-square-foot retail space in the heart of downtown Burlington. The project, which was completed by PC’s Special Projects group, included interior demolition of the lower two levels of a five-story bank office; extensive reconfiguration and relocation of utility, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to support retail space; and building and life-safety code updates. Interior features included Douglas Fir walls and a timber-framed trellis ceiling on the sales floor and reclaimed barn board accents on feature walls.
The exterior received building envelope upgrades and modifications to incorporate cedar lap siding, a metal panel system and a 4,500-square-foot graphic of a kayaker on Lake Champlain.
