Chapman Construction/Design

Bob has been around the construction industry for as long as he can remember, and he has been with Chapman since its inception. Bob helped foster the company’s careful growth from our first Back Bay bathroom renovation, and since then, he has executed some of our largest projects for many of our longest-term clients. Bob prides himself on his fiscal responsibility and logical thought process throughout the life of a project. He also oversees our contracts and legal department while playing a significant role in our subcontractor procurement team. When Bob isn’t working, you can find him golfing or on the Cape.

Brendan joined our Manchester office with a strong professional background in both residential and commercial construction. He was drawn to Chapman’s strong values, and our culture of taking pride in quality work, as well as treating our employees and partners with the utmost professionalism and respect. Brendan’s effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills allow him to thrive in his role as project manager.
Outside of the office, Brendan is usually spending time with his family or outside enjoying yardwork!

Dave joined Chapman after working as a nuclear decontamination technician after college. At Chapman, Dave has had the opportunity to work on many fast-track jobs with senior managers, which has allowed him to grow greatly in his role. When he isn’t in the office, he is most likely on the beach on Cape Cod, eating scallops, or running in a road race.

Emily’s experience working as a field engineer in New York before joining Chapman has proven valuable on projects with complex site work and structural scopes. Emily has always seized the opportunity to learn from those around her, absorbing something new from each project manager and supervisor she’s worked with. Highly organized and self-motivated, Emily was instrumental in the development of the Project Assistant role at Chapman, where she now thrives as one of our most sought-after Project Managers.

Emily’s favorite project to date has been the multi-floor fit-up of Abt Associates. The project involved the transformation of an entire office space, complete with unique architectural elements that required intensive coordination with everyone on the team. When she’s not working, Emily can be found on Long Island with family, on Cape Cod enjoying the beach, or trying out the latest craft brewery.

A former newspaper editor and a carpenter by trade, George brings a unique blend of construction know-how and communication skills to Chapman. George’s experience, focus, and passion about his projects make him a truly invaluable team member. George loves the ocean and, when not in the office, can often be found sailing; and is currently working toward earning his Coast Guard Captain’s License.

Jayce joined Chapman as a Project Assistant after receiving her bachelor’s degree from Keene State College, and quickly advanced into an Assistant Project Manager role.
While Jayce was in school, she found her passion for construction and project management when she volunteered with the Appalachia Service Project, a non-governmental organization that addresses and combats substandard housing through construction repairs for those living in the Appalachian region. Through her volunteer role, Jayce honed her communication and organizational skills that translate into her strong performance assisting with all projects she is on.
Outside of the office Jayce can be found listening to or playing music! Jayce sings and plays a variety of instruments including classical piano, violin, french horn, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, and guitar!

After graduating college, Jenna worked for a non-profit where she discovered her passion for sustainability and environmental studies. Soon after, Jenna found a home at Chapman, where she worked on some of our most diverse and complicated projects, quickly growing from a Project Assistant to Project Manager.
In 2022, Jenna transitioned into Chapman’s Program Manager role where she leverages her strong time management, organizational and leadership skills to keep internal programs and processes synchronized, efficient and moving forward!
Outside the office, Jenna can be found on the beach, trying a new recipe or biking with friends.

Fun fact: Jenna has geology field experience working in Death Valley, Hawaii and the Canadian Rockies!

Michele’s thoughtful decision making, eye for design, and technical skills have made her an essential member of Chapman’s team. She is the go-to person for proposals, presentations, photography, video, and brand management. She is currently the Director of Programs for the Society for Marketing Professional Services, sits on on the Massachusetts Building Congress’ Board of Directors and is a member of the MBC’s 20:30 Club Committee. In her free time, you can find Michele on the beach in Wellfleet or in her kitchen testing out new recipes!

Michele’s thoughtful decision making, eye for design, and technical skills have made her an essential member of Chapman’s team. Bill joined Chapman with more than twelve years of accounting and finance experience in a variety of industries, including construction. In his role here, Bill leverages his background in financial reporting systems integration to make our accounting processes as seamless and efficient as possible.

When Bill isn’t working, you can find him at a Boston Chapter UMD Alumni Association event or continuing his “bucket list” quest to visit every national park in the US.

Brian is a 30-year industry veteran known for his upbeat attitude and his skills as a master carpenter and a problem-solver. Brian cites his great co-workers and clients as the reasons he’s been with Chapman for more than twenty five years. Brian loves the outdoors, so in the summer you’ll often find him at his New Hampshire camp, spending time with his family and cooking up some tasty barbeque.

Derek completed two college co-op semesters with Chapman before becoming a full-time Assistant Construction Supervisor before climbing the ranks to Construction Supervisor. His previous framing and roofing experience, and his foundational understanding of scheduling and budgets, have propelled his development here. Derek’s favorite project has been the envelope improvements to the large walk-in freezer at Boston Beer Company. In the future, he hopes to cross snowboarding in Alaska off his bucket list.

Ken joined Chapman in 2006 with a strong background in both residential and heavy construction. Ken’s carpentry skills, combined with his knowledge of structural construction and sitework, have aided him in running some of our most complex interior and ground-up projects. Out of all the projects he has worked on, Ken still is fond of The WHAT Theater in Wellfleet. Experiencing the full cycle of the project, from building the theater out of the ground, guiding it over more than a year, and watching the first performance on its new stage, was both rewarding and fulfilling. This project has framed Ken’s time here at Chapman and he looks forward to how he can continue to contribute to future projects.

Mike began his Chapman career as a laborer soon after graduating high school, and in the nearly three decades since has developed into one of our most dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Supervisors. Mike’s positive attitude and work ethic are second to none, and those skills have earned him the highest respect from clients, subcontractors, and colleagues alike.

Mike’s favorite project from his long tenure at Chapman has been Element Care in Lowell. The unique structure and layout of the historic building, coupled with the scope of work, made for a challenging project with a rewarding finished product.

When Mike is not on a jobsite, you can find him on his bike! Every year, Mike participates in at least one cycling event focused on fundraising for local or national causes.

Mike graduated from Plymouth State University with a degree in Marketing and worked in business development for a design-build company following graduation.
Prior to coming to Chapman, Mike worked as a Project Manager for an energy conservation program in Keene, NH. This role, combined with Mike’s interest in sustainable building practices lead him to his current role as Project Assistant. In his role, Mike utilizes his strong work ethic and excellent communication skills to manage subcontractors, review scopes of work, process RFI’s, and manage the closeout process for projects.
When Michael is not at the office, he can be found at the gym, staying active outside, or hanging out with friends and family!

Randy’s start in construction came in high school, and prior to joining Chapman, he ran his own residential and commercial construction company. In his current role as Construction Supervisor, Randy approaches complex projects by breaking them down into smaller steps, reducing the process into understandable phases with measurable milestones. He also prides himself on his ability to “lead a project” rather than just run it, and he relishes in the comradery and friendships that he builds in the process.

Randy’s favorite projects have been the creation of secure rooms for defense contractors. He enjoys the challenge of these jobs, and he takes pride in knowing that he is doing his part to help his country.

When Randy isn’t leading a project, you can find him spending time with his family and studying their ancestral history. Randy is an avid genealogist and he hopes to one day travel to Northern France and Wales to tour where his ancestors came from!

Tony’s start in construction came when he was just 13, working for his father’s small construction company in Syracuse, NY. He joined Chapman in 2006 as an Assistant Construction Supervisor, and although he has since advanced into his current role as a Project Executive, he still brings a super’s jobsite knowledge and perspective to every project.
Tony serves as Chapman’s education market leader and understands the importance of logistics, scheduling, and occupant safety to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Tony’s favorite project was actually a series of projects for Boston University’s Information Services & Technology department. These were fast-paced projects all running simultaneously with construction supervisors at multiple different locations, but through constant communication, collaboration, and problem solving among project managers, site supers, and partners, the jobs were completed successfully, resulting in beautiful spaces for the client.
When Tony is not running projects, you can find him with his family, working on home renovation projects, or watching live music. Tony has even been to 25 Pearl Jam concerts!
