Scope Of Work
SITUATION
Faced with aging infrastructure on vulnerable drainage culverts functioning beneath heavily travelled state highways, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) developed a solution that would strengthen, restore and extend the service life of the existing lines while offering minimal disturbance to the many roadway travelers.
SOLUTION
To meet INDOT's needs, Layne Inliner set out to rehabilitate the culverts in accordance with the owner's specification, scheduling crews to perform operations that satisfied critical owner timelines. Prior to beginning the lining work, Layne Inliner performed necessary CCTV inspections and thoroughly cleaned the culverts before then installing the Inliner CIPP product.
This “no-dig” method allowed highway traffic to continue while restoration was completed on the existing culverts below. In total, Layne Inliner has installed more than 6,224 LF of 42 inch to 90 inch CIPP in INDOT owned culverts throughout Indiana with limited or no traffic disturbances.
