Tom Layne's Bio
Eastern Pennsylvania, Virginia, D.C., Maryland, Deleware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine
Tom Layne came to CNC Foundations in June 2020 from a career in professional baseball. In 13 years, Tom covered both coasts and everywhere in between, playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, and finally the St Louis Cardinals. Although Helitech is his first role in civil construction, his years as a professional athlete bring many traits for success. His ability to persevere in competitive environments, adapt to different people and cultures, and his self-motivation to succeed are all valuable assets for his role as a BDM. Best of all, he’s extremely familiar with his territory, having played 4 years in Boston and New York.
Tom may not have specific professional experience within the industry, but he’s been surrounded by it his entire life. His experience with the construction industry comes from the work of his dad, brothers, and uncles. You can tell it’s in his blood as he maneuvers job sites and conversations of the business with fluidity.
Tom is an avid outdoorsman who spends most of the fall and winter in a deer stand or a duck blind with his silver labrador, Charlie. His wife and two daughters are glad to have him “home” and keep him busy with neighborhood bike rides, barbecues on the back porch, and honey-do projects.
