Vance Construction, founded in 1972, is a full-service general contracting company.

Even though we primarily focus on commercial general contracting projects, Vance Construction is involved in select design-build custom homes in the residential realm. We have maintained the commitment to quality and attention to detail often missing in commercial construction and that is where our strengths truly shine.

Vance Construction has excelled in design-build projects using both conventional and pre-engineered construction methods. The projects include churches, offices, industrial, municipal, healthcare, and historic renovations.

In 1984 we began a successful long-term relationship with Varco-Pruden Buildings, a premier manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings. We are currently recognized as a top builder of pre-engineered metal buildings with national recognition.

Over the past years most general contractors have subcontracted a growing percentage of their construction activities. At Vance Construction, we remain committed to performing critical structural work with our own employees. We currently perform concrete work, carpentry work, and metal building erection with in-house crews.

Although we continue to obtain work by public bid and invited bid, a majority of our work is negotiated. We have found the “team approach” to design-build construction provides significant improvements over the traditional bid process.
