Scope Of Work

Gilbane constructed a new $28 million, 256,000-SF TEMF complex that includes a maintenance facility, vehicle wash facility, and an organizational storage building. Supporting facilities include a heavy vehicle parking area, weapons storage facility, cargo unloading area, petroleum storage and hazardous waste storage. Gilbane provided site development, facility construction, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, parking, storm drainage, underground detention vaults, an oil/water separator, a diesel fire pump and landscaping.

To meet this project’s stringent contract requirements, Gilbane mobilized many specialized materials and subcontractors from the United States. These included PEMB design and fabrication, pre-fabricated hazardous material and petroleum storage buildings, the wash plant, an overhead crane, anti-terrorism/force protection windows and doors, vault doors, electrical panel boards, transformers and equipment, fire alarm and suppression equipment, as well as the Fire Protection Engineer, testing and commissioning teams, and the LEED Engineer. Gilbane engaged all vendors early and fast-tracked designs and submittals to gain early start on fabrication, where possible.
