Scope Of Work
Through the winter of 2016 (5’ of snow at one point) and into 2017 we constructed two new buildings and two new bus shelters for the Mariposa Grove at the south entrance to Yosemite National Park on highway 41.
One of the two buildings and a bus shelter is located at the Lower Grove near the General Sherman tree serves as the drop off point for hiking and touring through the massive Mariposa Grove of Sequoias.
The other larger building and bus shelter is located at the South Entrance to the park. The building serves as the Visitor Center including a sales area and a comfort station.
The buildings and bus shelters are a combination of timber framing, log infrastructure, cedar siding, exposed wood ceilings with stonework to protect the buildings from snow exposure.
