When Edwin Mahoney’s ancestors started a modest construction business in 1926, they had no guarantees of what the future held. One thing they were sure of, however, is that nobody would ever outwork them.

It turned out that a business model based on hard work and uncompromising quality would build a brand that thrived and endured through a depression, a world war, and everything in between. Through five decades, Jeremiah, Leo, John, Edwin Sr., Jerome, Ray, Vince, Charlie, Mary, Joe and Edwin made the Mahoney name the point of reference for home building in this region.

Today there are homes on the Main Line and throughout surrounding communities that bear the imprint of a business begun in 1926 with uncertain prospects and few assets other than grit and determination.

E.B. Mahoney is the third generation version of that long and proud tradition. The times have changed but the values have not. There is an institutional memory of what that legacy means – for our company, and for the clients who honor us with their business.
