President I first got involved in building when my Dad employed my
brothers and me as his 'helpers' while he remodeled the homes we grew
up in. I worked off and on over the years in new-home construction,
remodeling, commercial renovation, and all kinds of small home
repairs. I became a Licensed General Contractor in 1999. Recently, I
taught two semesters of construction technology in the Technology
Department at ASU.
I am a member of the High Country HomeBuilders Association and
have served on the board of directors in the past as well as serving
as President of the High Country HomeBuilders Association. I have
also served as co-chairman of the Green Building Committee.
I have had a life-long interest in renewable energy and
environmentally responsible approaches to building and agriculture,
which has guided much of the direction of our work at Sunny Day Homes
over the years.
I hold a master's degree in education and have also learned
much as I have wandered around most of this country the world and
worked in several other businesses, and educational organizations of
various types.
