Scope Of Work
Club Nokia @ LA LIVE is a concert venue on the third floor of a five-story building. As a companion venue to the stadium-style Nokia Theatre, it hosts intimate live performances in a 59,000-square-foot space featuring state-of-the-art acoustics and interactive technology.
The project called for a floating concrete flooring system. While the original design specified a Styrofoam and isolator assembly, PCL was challenged to use this method on very tight schedule. After numerous meetings with the designer and PCL, the team agreed to utilize a rubber grummet system, which met the original design intent but slashed the installation time in half.
