Scope Of Work
This phased project consisted of multiple exterior and interior renovations. The exterior renovations began with removing existing planter areas, located between three entrance stairways, to create a green space that allowed water to shed away from the building while providing a small patio/garden area. Problem areas were also repaired on the stairs and a traction coating applied for safety.
The interior renovation covered 20,900 SF and included the reconfiguration of the entryway, gathering spaces, and the passageway to an adjacent rectory. Risers to the altar were rebuilt and a handicap ramp to the altar was added. The renovation plans originally included replacing the flooring but as demolition began it was noticed that the mosaic tile (installed in 1901) was in great shape. The church decided to rehabilitate the beautiful original floor and to replace the carpet in the rectories and choir loft. New pews were installed to perfectly complete the project.
