Newcastle Partners acquired 246 First Street, off-market at a significant discount compared to market. With its exceptional location adjacent to the Transbay Terminal and Salesforce Tower in the South of Market sub-market, 22’ exposed ceilings open floor plates, the building appeals to both technology companies seeking “creative space” and to professional service firms desiring a downtown, gateway city presence. Newcastle purchased the building off-market in June of 2012, and sold it in unsolicited in January of 2014, creating significant value.
