Scope Of Work
Quandel was selected as the general contractor by the City of Binghamton for solid handling upgrades at the Binghamton – Johnson City Joint Sewage Treatment Plant. In addition to constructing new mechanical thickening with polymer feed systems, sludge processing building, centrifuges, digester covers, digester gas conditioning building and system, sludge loading facilities, microturbines, scum concentrating and screening systems, holding tanks, and lime silo and feed system, Quandel is also providing:
Modifications to digested sludge pumping systems
Gravity thickener pump stations Nos. 1 and 2 modifications.
Head House Lab renovations and additions
Gravity thickened sludge and raw sludge pumping systems
Odor control system modifications
Site process piping
New HVAC systems
New electrical, instrumentation, and control systems and modifications to existing systems
New plumbing systems and existing plumbing system modifications
