Stephenson Builders, Inc.

As a family based company, Dwight and Phil Stephenson formed Stephenson Builders, Inc. in 1984. Growing up in the rural town of Angier, North Carolina farming was a way of life in the 1980’s. This father-son team was no stranger to this lifestyle and worked tirelessly on the family farm as main source of income. In the winter seasons they would build a few houses to help out financially for the following farm season, a tradition started by Dwight’s Father.

The success of the Stephenson Builders began to grow and eventually it became the primary focus for the family. Even though farming had phased out, the values and lessons of that lifestyle never died. Honesty, hard work, and pride are a few of the qualities still seen their homes today. In 2003 Drew, the fourth generation of Stephenson Builders, joined the company and quickly adapted to those same company principles.

Significance of the lamp-post in our logo:  You might have noticed the lamp post in our logo shining down on the custom builder name.  The lamp post was a tradition started by Dwight Stephenson that has been a staple for Stephenson Builders throughout the years.  Just like our homes, each one is custom made.   Although long retired from home building, Dwight still works hard in his “shop” to make sure Stephenson Builders has enough  posts to keep the tradition going.
