Scope Of Work
The 168,000 square foot school, located on Route 100 in Duxbury, was built in two phases. The original building was built in 1966 and in 1998 there were a series of additions, including a new middle school wing, library addition, high school classroom additions and art and music rooms. Currently, the school houses approximately 650 students from Grade 7 to Grade 12. ReArch Company was selected as the construction manager for the project, which is currently in the pre-bond vote phase. ReArch is assisting in evaluating potential options to determine which will bring the greatest overall value to the community. This includes constructability reviews, cost estimating, schedule comparison, facilities maintenance input and long-term asset analysis. A significant goal of this project is to rectify deferred maintenance issues, bring the building up to code, along with improving the educational experience of the students and faculty. The project is estimated to be completed in the summer of 2021.
