Scope Of Work
This 140,000 SF state-of-the-art facility at Technology Park in South Burlington, VT, will provide space for OnLogic’s more than 150 Vermont-based employees to collaborate and innovate effectively. The company estimates that the new facility will be able to fully accommodate its planned growth in Vermont for the next 7-10 years.
Development of the new space has focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and community connectivity, with an anticipated construction completion date near the end of 2023.
This highly sustainable project includes a 640 kW Roof-mounted solar array, which is expected to cover most of the project’s HVAC load and offsets the equivalent of 60 homes per year. The mechanical system will be a geothermal mechanical system that, compared to a code-compliant conventional HVAC system, will save approximately 1,574,308 lbs of CO2 per year. The project will also include the installation of (24) Level 2 Electric Vehicle Chargers for use by the OnLogic team.
The building will be equipped with a complete building automation system designed to minimize energy usage by responding in real-time to building use and grid needs (peak shaving-capable). This system will be custom-built in partnership with OnLogic engineers and designers.
The shell of the building will be filled with Foam Glass Gravel sub-slab insulation by Glavel Inc., locally sourced from Essex, VT will result in an 87% reduction in Carbon compared to traditional rigid insulation.
