Scope Of Work
BEAR completed this 16.5K-SF, two-floor, multi-phased project in a fully occupied and functioning University building for Adtalem Global Education. Scope included the interior renovation of offices and conference areas for the University’s faculty as well as a new kitchen, dining and lounge space. For the student body, a new student services center and additional classroom spaces were created to accommodate nursing students, and a new simulation lab was built to train them how to handle “end-of-life” scenarios with patients. The lab, complete with fully mocked up medical headwall units and equipment typically found inside hospital patient rooms, features an instructor evaluation room that separates the students via switch-light glass, which provides a more realistic atmosphere during training.
