Scope Of Work

Ardmore Roderick was a subconsultant to the BCP Tollway Partners joint venture for the construction management of the second phase project on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway.  The work consisted of rebuilding the outside lanes  shoulders along the 25-mile segment between Randall Road in Elgin and I-294 and adding a new lane to provide four lanes in each direction. In addition, work included completion of noise wall and retaining wall construction, water main and utility relocations, and drainage improvements.

The I-90 Rebuilding and Widening project included reconstruction of I-90 bridges over local roads between Illinois Route 53 and I-294. The work involved coordination with Cook and Kane counties, the Union Pacific Railroad, Canadian National Railroad, O’Hare International Airport, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as local townships, villages andpolice and fire departments.

Ardmore Roderick survey personnel provided QA/QC as-built survey checks as part of our construction inspection services. The project required extending the survey control network, providing location checks on sound walls and drainage structures, and surveying of grades for excavated and final surfaces. Cross-sections were plotted utilizing Microstation and GeoPak and used for calculating earthwork quantities.
