Scope Of Work
Garco Construction was the general contractor for this bridge project located in Riverfront Park, Spokane, WA. The bridge received a new deck, repair/replacement of corroded steel floor beams, repair/replacement of lighting and electrical components, and safety upgrades to the historic railings. Work began in May 2021, and was completed on schedule and on budget.
“This bridge is a key connector to the north bank and affords beautiful views of the spring runoff …” said Garrett Jones, director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Spokane. “The north and south suspension bridges in Riverfront were built for Expo ’74, and this important project restored the north bridge for continued use far into the future.”
Garco was honored to get to work on this project in the heart of downtown Spokane and return this bridge to the community as a safe route to walk through Riverfront Park and enjoy the gorgeous scenery.
