James Harrison is a valued member of the Schimenti Construction team as Vice President of Development. With a wealth of experience in the construction industry spanning over 17 years, James has reshaped and driven strategic planning and service delivery for world-class brands such as Apple, Tiffany & Co., and Tishman & Speyer. James appreciates the collaborative aspect of the construction industry and enjoys interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

In his role, James oversees the front-end services of the company, including preconstruction, estimating, risk management, marketing, and client relations. He is also responsible for supporting the executive leadership team with strategic direction, including diversifying the company’s service offerings and expanding nationally–particularly on the West Coast. James has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results on projects for prestigious clients such as Live Nation and Cartier and possesses a customer-focused attitude, always striving to exceed expectations. He takes pride in working alongside a talented and dedicated team and is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Joseph Rotondo joined Schimenti Construction in 2000 and has been a valuable member of the team ever since. As Executive Vice President, he is responsible for providing leadership in key areas such as operating budgets, staffing, and estimating, and is dedicated to growing the company’s client base. Joe loves the collaborative nature of construction, seeing it as “the ultimate team sport,” and takes pride in the buildings he and his team create. Joe is responsible for ensuring overall operational success and maintaining positive relationships with clients. He has established strong connections with notable organizations such as Chick-fil-A, Primark, JP Morgan Chase, and others.

Outside of work, Joe is passionate about spending time with his family and is always involved in one of his three children’s many activities. He is also an avid sports fan and sees Schimenti’s core values as being important not just for success at the company but in life as a whole. In his free time, Joe has a talent for falling asleep during TV commercials, yet never missing any of his favorite shows, a hidden talent his kids love to tease him about.

Matthew C. Schimenti, President of Schimenti Construction Company, is the third generation of his family to be involved in the design and construction industry. He launched Schimenti Construction in 1994, and from its inception, focused the company’s efforts on retail construction. Under his leadership, the company has completed numerous high-profile projects, including many flagship and landmark stores, for the most recognizable names in the retail industry.

Throughout Schimenti Construction’s two-plus decades, Matthew’s unwavering emphasis on maintaining solid client relationships and delivering superior customer service has been vital to the firm’s success.

Upon graduation from American International College with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance, he began his career at his father’s company, AMD Construction Corporation. In his ten years there, he mastered a series of increasingly demanding positions, including Estimator and Project Manager.

Matthew is an involved leader in industry organizations. He served as President of the Retail Contractors Association from 2008-2012, after having served as Vice President and chairman of its scholarship committee. He has also served on the board of directors of the Associated General Contractors of New York State and as a committee advisory board member for the SPECS conference. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the New York Building Congress. He remains active at his alma mater, currently serving on two committees and the board of directors at American International College.

Matthew resides in Connecticut with his wife and five children. He is an avid golfer and hockey player.

Vincent Spataro, a recognized leader within the construction industry, joined Schimenti in 2022 as Senior Director, West Coast. Bringing over 25 years of experience, Vinnie is a highly regarded leader within the Southern California market with a track record of service delivery for premiere clients within the retail, commercial, sports, and entertainment sectors. He has led the construction of some of the most iconic brands, including Louis Vuitton’s Rodeo Drive Flagship, SoFi Stadium, and the Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center.

In his role, Vinnie oversees all West Coast accounts, project and field teams, and operations. He works closely with clients such as Nike to ensure the successful completion of projects and is highly regarded for his technical expertise and unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Anthony Loguercio has been a valued member of the Schimenti team for over 40 years. As leader of the Self Perform team, he oversees a group of 75+ skilled craftspeople specializing in drywall, fixturing, millwork, and carpentry. Under Anthony’s guidance, his team has delivered numerous high-end and complex retail projects throughout New York City for prominent clients such as Aritzia, Cos, and Filson. He is known for his ability to maintain project course and ensure dedication to project goals, making him an integral part of the Schimenti team.

Dan Barry is a highly experienced professional with a successful career in the construction industry. He has
been serving as the Vice President of Operations at Schimenti for the past 8 years, providing essential
leadership to the company's field team of over 100 individuals. Dan has evolved through the ranks of
Schimenti, serving as both a Superintendent and General Superintendent, and has a wealth of knowledge
and expertise in various sectors, including retail, corporate and commercial, hospitality and entertainment,
and industrial.
Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the
highest standards. He has a proven track record of leadership, guiding his team to achieve their goals and
maintain the course of projects. Dan has overseen the construction of Schimenti's entire portfolio and has
worked on projects for high-profile clients such as Great Jones Distillery, Harty Winston, The Shops at
Hudson Yards, FreshDirect, and many others.

Jeff Hogan is a highly experienced construction professional who currently serves as Senior Director of Project Management at Schimenti. With over 23 years in the industry, he specializes in project planning, execution, and delivery, particularly for complex projects. As the leader of Schimenti’s Project Management team in Connecticut, Jeff is responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered to meet and exceed client expectations. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide range of notable projects for clients such as LA Fitness, Landmark Theatres, FreshDirect, and Chase Bank. With his proven track record and commitment to client satisfaction, Jeff has earned a reputation as a trusted and effective leader in the industry.

Oliver Holland, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the construction industry, serves as the Senior Director of Project Management at Schimenti. With over 15 years of international construction management experience, Ollie has a proven track record of effectively leading teams of 50 or more project and cost managers. He brings a wealth of experience, overseeing projects in excess of $370 million, and has a portfolio of successfully completed projects, including high-profile clients such as Tiffany & Co., Nike, Apple, and others.

Ollie is known for his innovative approach to construction, having developed a number of industry-leading practices involving Building Information Modeling (BIM), off-site modular construction, and preconstruction procurement services. He is also recognized as a leader in the industry, being named in the ICSC+CenterBuild Leaders Under 40 Class of 2022. Under his guidance, the project management team has effectively executed projects for notable clients including Food52 and Live Nation, further solidifying his reputation for exceptional results.

Jonas Foster, Director of Marketing at Schimenti, brings nearly 20 years of experience in the A/E/C industry and has a passion for marketing and branding in the built environment. He leads the Marketing department in developing marketing programs and engagement strategies to support sales growth, drive client communications, and maintain the company’s brand image. 

Jonas has developed successful marketing campaigns for renowned brands, including ARTIC, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Related Companies, Live Nation, and Google, among others. He has also participated in speaking panels and published articles on branding, communications, and marketing. Additionally, Jonas has served on the Board of Directors for SMPS Los Angeles and SMPS New York in various positions, including Director of Communications, Special Events, and Director of Public Relations.

Throughout his career, Jonas has demonstrated his creativity and ability to develop successful marketing initiatives that drive strategy and client engagement. He has a proven track record of directing all marketing efforts and is well-versed in branding, PR, and communications in the built environment.

Tom Fenton is a seasoned business development professional with a strong background in the construction industry. He joined Schimenti in 2011 and currently serves as the Director of Business Development. Tom leads a team focused on pursuing new business opportunities with Fortune 500 clients across various markets. He is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing strategic initiatives to capture new opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. With his extensive experience and proven track record in business development, Tom continues to be a valuable asset to the Schimenti team. 

Joseph Sparta has been part of Schimenti Construction since 2004. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for overseeing a talented staff dedicated to maintaining the financial health of the business. He loves the dynamic nature of the construction industry, where every day presents a new challenge and opportunity to make a difference with a tangible product.

Outside of work, his greatest passion is his family, and he prioritizes spending time with his wife and children. Joe is also committed to living by the company’s core values, which he helped craft and sees as a solid guideline for personal and business conduct. In his free time, he enjoys archery, horseback riding, and martial arts, and has a hidden fear of heights.

Pamela Desmond is a talented Human Resources professional who currently leads the HR department at Schimenti. Since joining the company in 2020, she has brought a wealth of experience in talent acquisition, training and development, and team building and scaling. Her HR team focuses on attracting and retaining top talent, aligning with Schimenti’s core value of “People Are Our Foundation.” 

Pamela has shown exceptional leadership skills, developing people initiatives that contribute directly to the growth and development of the company’s culture. She has played a key role in building Schimenti’s exceptional team and recruiting industry leaders to help advance the company’s mission of raising the customer service standard in the construction industry to Build Different.
