When our 1909 beach house and accompanying garage in Little Compton needed some professional TLC following tropical storm Sandy, I called Kyle Welchman and asked him to inspect the structures and provide an assessment. He did so promptly and courteously, supplied a highly-detailed analysis of the issues needing immediate attention, and calculated a fair estimate for the required work on the spot. Despite the onset of winter and the inevitable harsh weather that came with it, Kyle’s crew at East Bay Building and Remodeling accomplished the tasks at hand with speed and skill. Much to my delight, Mr. Welchman followed up with additional suggestions for future repairs on our beloved old house, some of which have since been completed. His knowledge of building construction and preservation is exemplary. His integrity is impeccable. You can trust him to handle your building project as if it was his own!
Last fall, East Bay Building and Remodeling (Kyle Welchman), replaced our roof. We couldn’t be more pleased with how our roof turned out! Everything took place exactly as planned. The crew arrived on time and worked very hard the entire time. They paid great attention to detail and the finished product looks outstanding. Also, the estimated cost matched our final invoice amount to the penny. Our experience was the best we've ever had when having work done on our home.
A Little Compton friend recommended Kyle to us when we first decided upon rebuilding our summer home. For us, this was no small project. So, we needed someone that really had solid experience and the willingness to see this all the way through. We hit it right off with Kyle and decided he was the man that would get the job done. After spending 22 years in “our sweep out summer cottage”, our instructions were that we wanted him to build a solid home for us. The job was completed on time and very much to our satisfaction. We were very impressed with Kyle’s construction and product knowledge, recommendations, and his ability to co-ordinate the sub-contractors. Additionally, we had the house inspected by RISE. The inspector made several very positive comments on the construction and insulation. All they had to do is provide energy efficient light bulbs. Whether you are considering a remodel, new home, or something in-between it is important to determine whether or not your contractor has the above attributes. In our opinion, Kyle has them and many more!
Kyle separated the various components of the project
into bite-sized chunks that we could monitor independently for progress, completion and cost.
