Scope Of Work

A 125,000-square-foot renovation of a former Pillowtex mill into a performing arts center and the construction of a new theatre.

The building houses facilities for Columbus State University’s performing arts, studio arts, and fine arts programs and has a landscaped courtyard area for outdoor receptions.

The main theatre is a 382-seat proscenium main stage theatre with state-of-the-art sound and audio-visual technology.

The studio theatre seats 150 with a flexible multi-seat arrangement and portable stage.

The building design showcases a glass curtainwall system to allow an unobstructed view of the adjacent Chattahoochee River.

Extensive value engineering efforts were made during the preconstruction stage which resulted in nearly $3 million in savings for the owner.
