Scope Of Work
225,000-SF, nine-story renovation and adaptive reuse of an old healthcare facility into an affordable housing complex for seniors
Built in 1907, the Ravenswood Hospital building was closed after nearly 100 years of operation and remained vacant for more than 15 years
Four-story steel addition constructed off the second floor that supplies additional residential units to the complex
193 units total, including 119 supportive living units and 74 independent living units
Complete façade rehabilitation, including masonry restoration, new windows and entrance systems, porte cochere modifications and outdoor amenity spaces with new seating and vegetation
A project-specific safety plan was developed to address the unique safety needs and challenges presented by building during the pandemic
Second Place Winner of the 2021 Senior Housing News Architecture and Design Awards in the Affordable Senior Housing Category
