Montgomery Construction LLC

With 14 years of industry experience, Matt founded Montgomery Construction in 2014 in Lexington, SC. His portfolio includes projects that he led on both the east and west coasts in excess of $250 million and over 5 million square feet, as an Owner Representative and a Contractor. He has an extensive knowledge of all types of projects ranging from ground-up high-rise buildings to industrial upfits. Matt believes deeply in building long lasting professional relationships with his clients and industry partners by ensuring that their construction visions are fully met in a friendly, cost-effective, and collaborative manner. 

Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, along with an unlimited-dollar general contractor’s license, construction manager certificate, and a Broker’s license. He is a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, and the Union County Chamber of Commerce. Montgomery Construction is very active within the community as they contribute to the RCSD K9 Unit, HomeWorks, and Ace and TJ’s Breaking and Entering Christmas. Matt resides in Lexington, South Carolina with his wife, Erin Montgomery, and their three children, Grant, Abby, and Carter. 

Leila has over 16 years of experience in all aspects of the construction industry including working in the office and on job sites. She spent four of her years solely in commercial construction as an Assistant Project Manager building hotels. Beyond that, she has many years of experience as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager.  Leila takes pride in her ability to multi-task, keep everything organized, and efficiently manage multiple people and projects at one time.

Leila attended Midlands Technical Collage in West Columbia, South Carolina and also has her Procore Certification as a Project Manager.

Alex Bryant has over 30 years of experience in all fields of the construction industry. His project portfolio spans upward of more than 28 million dollars including but not limited to high end residential homes to various commercial projects. Alex prides himself on being able to direct subcontractors, superintendents, and various tradesmen in their daily activities in order to deliver quality products in a timely manner.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina and has been a licensed General Contractor in South Carolina since 1987.

Erin has over 15 years of experience in both the Interior Design and Marketing fields. She has decorated and designed for both residential and commercial spaces, after successfully running her own decorating businesses in both San Diego, CA and in Lexington, SC. She prides herself on being able to work with clients to analyze their needs, goals, lifestyle and function of their space, all while remaining within their budget. Prior to starting her own design business, Erin worked in Marketing at a healthcare company in San Diego, CA, assisting the team with all of their graphic design and marketing coordinating needs.

Erin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a minor in Journalism from Clemson University. She also completed several Interior Design courses at Mesa College in San Diego, CA, and is a Certified Interior Decorator.

Ken McCarthy, hailing from Australia, has over 40 years of experience that includes an unconventional career path starting with global sailboat delivery. After numerous ocean crossings, Ken settled in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he became the yacht captain for Dave Thomas (the founder of Wendy’s). Dave’s entrepreneurial proclivity led Ken towards ventures in real estate and construction, and golf course acquisition/management in Columbia, SC.

Ken prides himself on being able to cultivate business relationships all while ensuring that Montgomery Construction delivers cost effective construction expertise with superior outcomes.

Spence has over 25 years of experience in the commercial construction industry with projects ranging throughout South Carolina. He has completed over $500 million dollars in projects over the years that includes small remodels, office upfits, historical renovations, high-end law firms and extensive ground-up construction.  Spence truly believes in building trust with his clients and commends himself for having over 80% of repeat business with his clients throughout the years.

Spence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and is OSHA 30-certified.

Vincent has over 18 years of experience in the construction and architecture industries with his projects mainly being based in New York City. He has an enriched portfolio that consists of residential (single family, multi-family, mix-use, custom homes), commercial (office, dining establishments, physical cultural establishments, retail), industrial (manufacturing, warehouse) and institutional (medical, educational, religious). His architectural vision makes him a precise critic when analyzing drawings, job reports, site visits, as-built conditions, etc.. Vincent strives to build long lasting professional relationships with coworkers, clients, and industry partners to guarantee key communication for an optimum project delivery. He is also fluent in English and Spanish which allows him to cultivate close relationships with workers on all job sites.

Vincent obtained a Master’s degree in Architecture from Universidad Catolica y Tecnologica del Cibao in the Dominican Republic. He also took several courses in Architectural Design at Parson School of Design in New York City. He has his NYC General Contractor Registration and 40 hours of OSHA safety training. His professional affiliations include the (AIA) American Institute of Architects, (NCARB) Architectural Registration Board and (BCSP) Board of Certified Professionals.

Jason has over 12 years of experience in photography, videography, audio engineering, and social media content creation. He has created captivating visual content for commercial & residential real estate agencies, corporations, and small businesses throughout his career while successfully running his own photography & videography businesses in St. Simons Island, GA. Jason takes pride in his attention to detail, and his ability to capture moments that leave lasting impressions with his clients. 

Jason studied Computer Science at Coastal College of Georgia, where he also completed several Digital Photography & Video courses. He is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America.

David is an accomplished construction accountant with over 30+ years of experience in the industry.  He has served as both the controller and accounting manager for electrical and general contractors with specialties in highway/road building, site work, hotels, wastewater treatment, and home building.  He brings a vast array of knowledge in accounting software, bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, and construction management software.

David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of South Carolina.
