Scope Of Work
This project involved the renovation of a Historic two story shell Victorian army barrack in order to provide Company Operations Facilities for two military companies. The existing wood structure is located in the historic district of Ft. Myer and was designed by a historically and military significant architect.
Rich Moe Enterprises LLC., was part of the Design Build team who provided design planning, coordination and general contractor services for this Design/Build renovated historic building. RME installed new gypsum walls and acoustical ceiling system, installation of rough carpentry, doors and frames as well as Division 10 items.
“This $9.6M renovation was praised by the customer and the Virginia State Historic Preservation Office as an excellent example of Design-Build working to balance the often competing requirements of Historic Preservation, Force Protection and current Military Mission requirements.”
