Scope Of Work
The project consisted of a 130-MGD lift station to convey wastewater flows from the tunnel to the plant, with six 32.5-MGD vertical non-clog centrifugal pumps in a conventional wet well/dry pit configuration. The lift station has a concentric cylinder configuration, with the inner cylinder functioning as the wet well and the dry well occupying the annular space between the outer cylinder and the wet well exterior wall. Both the wet well and the dry well are divided into two bays. The wet well is provided with an odor control system, while the dry wells are provided with elevators, auxiliary pumps, and HVAC and dehumidification systems. An electrical building houses drives, starters, switchgear and plant equipment, along with an emergency standby generator and instrumentation and control systems.
