Craig Greene's Bio
As the President of Gryffin Construction, he has undertaken the responsibility to help train the up and coming Construction Professionals of the future. He helps mentor these young men and women in the art of construction and construction management. Gryffin Constructions motto is the 4 F’s “Forward, Facing, Future Focused”.
Mr. Craig Greene who is the President of Gryffin Construction originally comes from Bristol, Rhode Island. At an early age he discovered he had a passion for construction. As a teenager he completed projects around the house for his family and then eventually went to work for a local contractor where he learned his skill as a carpenter. Throughout his teenage years his love of construction did not falter, and he went on to college at Wentworth Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in Building Construction Technologies. He then went to Penn State to complete another course of studies and graduated with his bachelors in Structural Engineering.
Mr. Greene moved to Florida in the late 70’s and again began working in the construction industry until the economy took a turn and he took a position as a police officer for the City of Riviera Beach assigned to their traffic homicide division. He worked there for several years until the construction industry re- energized itself and he got back into the field he knew best.
Mr. Greene has worked on many different types of projects from small single-family homes, to a tract of town homes for a major developer. He has also worked on Hotels and Apartment complexes which he feels is an area he excels in due to the many challenges it affords. As part of his projects list Mr. Greene was instrumental in leading a construction team to complete a very high-profile project in Atlanta, Ga where an upscale apartment community was being built alongside one of the largest and busiest highways in the state. Not only was the project completed safely it was completed several weeks before schedule. Mr. Greene was also one of the first contactors in Florida to enclose an aging hotel outside walkway and make it a warm and inviting corridor, thus refreshing the hotel and giving it a modern “new look”.
Mr. Greene has worked his way up through the ranks in the construction industry and has earned his stripes, so to speak. He has been a carpenter, a Superintendent and a Project Manager throughout his career. He has been licensed as a Building Official and as an Inspector. His knowledge of the building codes is superior and his problem-solving skills as it relates to a construction project are excellent. His near lifelong commitment to this industry has taught him many skills and helped develop in him the love for “building something from the ground up”. He can easily manage supervision and management on any construction project and is well versed in on-time and on-budget.
As the President of Gryffin Construction he has undertaken the responsibility to help train the up and coming Construction Professionals of the future. Kevin learned the importance of completing a project on time and within or under the project budget. Kevin has worked his way up in the business to supervise the superintendents and the subcontractors for all of the Gryffin Projects. Today Kevin is a Vice President of the company in charge of maintaining and supervising Gryffin’s own crews to ensure that they complete all tasks within the schedule and within the budget.
