Our Story

We truly believe it’s an amazing roofing system that can help building owners sleep better at night. Our commitment to customer service, integrity, and quality, mean that you can trust our recommendations and our decisions for your roof. We are a family owned and operated business, and have been since we opened our doors in 1974. We were committed to quality and doing the right thing back then, and we still are today. We have worked hard every single day to build a reputation with our customers as a vendor that they can trust and depend on for all their roofing needs.
Spray Polyurethane Foam is the best roofing material on the planet, we believe that wholeheartedly. Let’s look at what makes spray foam so great, and why we believe in it so much. Sprayed Polyurethane Foam can be installed quickly, doesn’t require tearing off your old roof system, and provides the best insulation properties of any roof system once installed. On top of all this, because it doesn’t have any fasteners or seams, both leaks and repairs of a SPF roof are extremely rare. Spray foam is a great fit for both new construction and retrofit applications. In new construction, some sort of roof deck – often metal – must first be installed before the foam can be applied. In retrofit, or re-roof, applications, the foam can be applied directly to the existing roof in many cases. Both applications are a great fit for spray foam thanks to its unmatched versatility.
Production and Installation Overview
Our experienced field estimators begin the process by visiting your site personally, inspecting and measuring the existing structure thoroughly. A detailed estimate outlines the process of roof replacement. Unlike conventional roofs, an SPF roof from IRC seldom requires a tear-off of the existing roof. (A complete roof-tear-off adds time, expense, debris, material in landfills, as well as the risk of damage to the interior of the building.) The existing roof is then thoroughly inspected by our installation professionals for moisture content, leaks and structural integrity. Any loose aggregate is removed using a roof vacuum, reducing the weight load on the roof and eliminating dirt and dust. Any necessary repairs to the deck or existing system are made at this point in the process. Next, spray polyurethane foam is fluid-applied at a thickness of 1 – 2 inches (more if improved drainage or insulation is required). As the foam cures, it expands to approximately 20 times its original mass. Within minutes, it becomes a very rigid and durable insulating layer. An elastometric coating layer is then applied over the SPF to provide further protection from the elements.
Benefits of Spray Polyurethane Foam
Once the project is complete, building owners will realize immediate benefits of the system. It provides the highest R-value of any roofing material on the market, meaning it is the best insulator and will save you money on your energy bills. SPF roofs provide superior wind uplift resistance, making them a great choice with regards to areas commonly exposed to high winds or tornadoes. SPF roofs are also extremely resistant to severe weather, as their tough and rigid surface is not easily penetrated.
IRC is committed to being recognized as the nation’s premier roofing contractor by providing innovative solutions that create a high quality, sustainable, and cost-effective roofing system. We will meet the needs of our customers with honesty, teamwork, and integrity while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. We will continually set standards of excellence, both personally and professionally, which exemplify dedication to our faith and vision.
