Chad Garrett's Bio
Chad joined TWG in early 2019 to oversee construction operations and now serves as Senior Vice President of Construction.
A process improvement strategist, solidly grounded in best-in-class construction and production principles, Chad has a firm command of today's most exacting quality process management systems. He has over 27 years of construction management and leadership experience, on a national level, leading large teams in the planning and construction of dense urban residential high rises, parking structures, skilled nursing facilities, class A office and government building projects. His broad experience in multiple development types lends to the apprehension of the complex organizational needs required for successful projects.
Chasity Sadowy 's Bio
Chasity Sadowy became involved in property management in 2005.
Chasity first entered the property management industry as the Compliance Assistant with
Pedcor Homes. In 2008 she accepted the Compliance Director position for Pedcor Homes.
While there she was responsible for all state reporting, investor reporting, file auditing, staff
training and overall compliance requirements for the LIHTC program for more than 4000
units in California, Illinois, Tennessee and Indiana.
Mrs. Sadowy holds several LIHTC designations such as Site Compliance Specialist (SCS),
National Compliance Professional (NCP) and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP).
In March of 2014 Chasity joined the TWG Management team as the Compliance Director.
In September of 2014 she became the Regional Manager for the Affordable division of TWG
Management. In 2016, Chasity earned her Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation
through the Indiana Apartment Association and continues her involvement with the Indiana Apartment
Association. In January of 2018, Chasity became the Vice President of the Affordable Property
Management division for TWG Management.
Chasity is responsible for managing 23 properties in 4 different states, directing a staff of 35 that
consist of the Compliance Department, Area Managers, Service Coordinators, Maintenance and
Management staff at the site level. She ensures each community that TWG manages meets the
expectations of the ownership in the of area of financial performance, compliance, leasing,
maintenance and resident satisfaction.
Colleen Winship's Bio
Colleen Winship provides support for TWG’s management software across all properties. She manages the external relationship with the software developers, manages the onboarding and training curriculum for new onsite employees, communicates and implements new upgrades and applications, ensures new and existing developments are properly recorded and managed in the software, among other projects.
Colleen joined TWG Development, LLC in 2014, shortly after graduating from Purdue University with a B.A. in Communications and a B.S. in Human Services. She has a solid foundation in management of tax credit and market rate properties gained through her experience managing several TWG Development, LLC properties from 2014 through 2016.
Colleen is the Vice President of the Midwest Support Foundation, a not-for-profit focusing on improving affordable housing. Colleen also holds a LIHTC designation as a Site Compliance Specialist (SCS).
Justin Collins's Bio
Justin Collins grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from Ball State University in 2006 with a Master’s degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Indiana CPA Society.
Justin joined Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) in July of 2006 specializing in rental real estate audits and tax returns. His primary responsibilities were to analyze and supervise the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, partnership agreements and low-income housing tax credit applications.
In 2012, Justin joined TWG Development, LLC, a full-service real estate development company based in Indianapolis, IN as the Vice President of Accounting. During his tenure, he oversaw all financial aspects of the real estate entities which developed over $700 million in development and over 5,000 units. During this period the company grew from 50 to over 200 employees and expanded from one to 12 states.
In 2019 he became an owner and the Chief Operating Officer. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the finances and operations of the development, construction, and management companies and provide strategic oversight.
Justin and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Fishers, IN and have five children, Shane, Libby, Sydney, James, and Savannah.
Keith Colgan's Bio
With over three decades of experience, Keith has successfully delivered projects of more than 8 million square feet with construction values exceeding $1 billion. Projects have ranged in size from $250,000 to $350,000,000.
Keith has managed a variety of construction projects types to include Class A Office, Healthcare/Medical, Higher Education, Industrial, Hospitality/Resort and over 2,800 Residential Multi-Family units throughout the eastern and mid-western United States.
Keith graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Landscape Architecture followed by Graduate studies in Construction Management at New York University and Real Estate Development Finance at Harvard University.

Kendrel Bretz's Bio
Kendrel Bretz serves as the Chief Experience Officer at TWG Development. Through intradepartmental collaboration and partnership, he advocates for the centrality of the customer (both internally and externally) in every business decision.
He graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a B.S. in Global Communications and Culture. Since joining TWG in 2013, Kendrel has held numerous positions within the organization and, therefore, is uniquely positioned to help build on the company’s legacy while moving it forward.
As the CXO, he oversees hr, marketing, information technologies and communications/public relations - linking the four to elevate the brand and how its communicated to the public, cultivate an environment of collaboration and innovation, and the intentional implementation of technologies and digital resources to improve the customer experience.
Outside of work, Kendrel enjoys traveling with his husband, spending time at home with his two Doodles, and exploring the vast world of consumer technologies on Youtube.
Tony Knoble's Bio
Tony Knoble is the co-founder of TWG Development and related entities.
Mr. Knoble graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in the spring of 2006 earning a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance with a specialization in Real Estate. Mr. Knoble joined Pedcor Investments in May 2006. His responsibilities at Pedcor were to identify new developments in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Alabama and assist in the financing of those projects.
In 2007, Tony Knoble and Joe Whitsett co-founded TWG Development, LLC, a full-service real estate development company based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Tony is currently a board member of the Good House, and a member of Penrod Sociey. He has previously been on the Mapleton Fall Creek CDC Housing Committee and a member of the Housing Committee for the Super Bowl Legacy Project. He is a member of YPO Indiana. Tony is in the Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40 2017 class.
Tony has two children, Simon and Estelle.

Matt Kompara's Bio
Matt Kompara is the Senior Vice President of Preconstruction at TWG. His responsibilities included conceptual estimating, design management, project bidding, and subcontractor procurement.
Matt graduated from Purdue University, College of Engineering with a BS in Construction Engineering & Management, and from Indiana State University, Scott College of Business with a Master of Business Administration. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional. Matt has experience in the construction industry since 2006 including hospitality, multi-family, student housing, and retail / mixed use. Previous employers Pankow Builders, LLC and Thompson Thrift Construction, Inc.

Operations
Cody Semler's Bio
Cody joined the TWG team in 2015 and now serves as the Controller of TWG Development. He is responsible for managing the accounting processes for TWG’s development, construction, and management entities.
Cody graduated from Ball State University in 2013 with B.S. degrees in Accounting and Financial Analysis. After graduation he started his career in public accounting at Whitinger & Company LLC performing audit and tax services. During this time, Cody earned his CPA license and gained experience and interest in the Real Estate Development industry.
Outside of work Cody spends most of his time at Lake Tippecanoe with his wife, Jessica and son, Weston.
Kerry La Prees's Bio
Kerry La Prees joined TWG in 2018 as a member of the in-house architectural team, bringing a technical expertise from a diversity of project types including multi-family, office, hospitality, and education. Previously, he has held roles as Director of Design and Project Architect in firms in Indiana and Michigan.
A native of Indianapolis, Kerry received his Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University & his MBA from EDHEC in France. He has over fourteen years of experience in urban planning, adaptive re-use, historic preservation, interior design, and new construction – with an emphasis on energy efficient strategies. He has practiced principally in the Midwest, but has also lead teams on international projects in Mexico & Ukraine.
Mike Thomas 's Bio
Mike Thomas joined TWG in 2016 as the director architecture with the mission of bringing the design process in house. He brings with him a background in tax credit development and design with two other local development companies. He held the roles of architect of record and architectural project manager, each with its own benefits to the developers.
Born and raised in Indiana, Mike attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a degree in Architecture. Upon graduation, Mike moved to Florida where he earned his architectural license and gained a wide variety of professional experience working mostly in high-end residential design. After a downturn in the high-end market, Mike returned to the Midwest. Eventually, he settled in Indianapolis and establishing a career in the multi-family market with a focus on LIHTC projects.
Mike is currently licensed to practice architecture in 16 states and is the architect of record on over $150 Million worth of construction throughout the country. His portfolio includes numerous projects that have achieved green certifications including LEED Silver and Gold, Enterprise Green and Energy Star. He is also certified as an Earthcraft Building Professional in Virginia.
Ryan Fitzpatrick's Bio
Ryan joined TWG Construction in 2016 as a Preconstruction Manager then Production Executive, and now serves as Vice President of Construction Operations. His responsibilities include management of project path scheduling, quality control, and TWG University training.
Prior to joining TWG, Ryan held industry positions including Field Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Director of Development and Maintenance for a regional restaurant franchisee. He has managed a variety of construction projects including office/retail, car dealership and service, healthcare, restaurant, and multi-family. He was Construction Manager for the first LEED-certified restaurant in Indiana, and lead the construction of the Storybook Express project in Kokomo, IN which was featured in Roadside America and American Dirt publications for its creative use of salvaged building materials. In addition to his construction achievements, Ryan was the founder of ‘Service My Restaurants,’ a full-service maintenance company specializing in restaurant equipment repair and building services.
Ryan graduated from Purdue University, College of Technology in 2005 with a BS in Building Construction Management. He is a LEED-AP Fellow, 2010 Byron Fellowship participant, and previously held position as Regional Ambassador for the Living Building Challenge.
Ryan is happily married to Jill and they have 3 children, Adelyn, Hazel, and Emily.
Stephanie Kelsey's Bio
Stephanie has been a part of the TWG Team since May 2017. She started with the company as an Area Manager for the Iowa and Illinois affordable properties. Stephanie has 16 years of experience in the housing industry overall, with 9 of those years being in property management; more specifically, specializing in the affordable housing and Section 8 markets. Prior to joining TWG, Stephanie was the Senior Property Manager over the Eastern Iowa portfolio for Sherman Associates, Inc and has previous experience working with the Chicago Housing Authority.
She was promoted into the Regional Manager role in October 2019, in which she oversees the states of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Her responsibilities include the day to day operations, overall management of multiple sites, and site personnel performance.
Stephanie has acquired her Certified Apartment Manager certification she gained through the National Apartments Association and she holds real estate brokerage licenses in the states of Iowa and Indiana. In college, she majored in Business Management and minored in Marketing.
Stephanie enjoys spending quality time with her twin sons, traveling, and she is a foodie; therefore, she enjoys trying food from different cultures, and cooking.
Steven Robinson's Bio
Steven Robinson is the Facility Director for TWG Management, overseeing all properties, which includes a portfolio of over 40 plus properties. Steven spends most of his time improving maintenance processes and procedures. He has created and implemented safety procedures, provides ongoing training and preventative maintenance programs. Steven is a mentor and resource for the Maintenance Technicians in the field by providing strong leadership skills, while working side by side with them to learn the needs of our onsite staff.
Steven began his career in Multi-family Property Management in 2011 with Buckingham Companies and joined TWG Management in 2017. Steven also has is Certified for Apartment Maintenance Technician certificate he gained through the National Apartment Association.
Steven loves spending most of his free time doing adventurous things with his wife and two sons, woodworking and art.
Tearra Dotson's Bio
Tearra joined TWG in July of 2011. Tearra has over 15 years of property management experience and has a strong background in affordable, conventional and Section 8 markets. She oversees the portfolio’s operational and financial performance to ensure achievement of established objectives, have direct accountability over Property Managers to ensure implementation and execution of all corporate policies and procedures and to meet owner’s expectations.
Tearra is originally from South Bend, Indiana and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Tearra also holds an Assisted Housing Manager (AHM) Certification.
In her spare time, she loves traveling and spending time with her family.

Derek Hoover's Bio
Derek Hoover is the Director of Leasing and Marketing for TWG Management, LLC. His responsibilities include brand and identity development, lease-up marketing strategies, overseeing lease-up velocity, managing the online presence of all TWG Management communities and interpreting market trends.
Derek began his career in property management in 2012 with the Gene B. Glick company. Derek joined TWG Management in January 2015.
Derek is married and has one child, Lewis. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, Netflix binging, pool days, trying new restaurants and game nights.
J.B. Curry's Bio
J.B. Curry joined TWG in 2014 and serves as the Vice President of Market Rate Development.
Mr. Curry oversees market rate and mixed-use multi-family development opportunities at TWG. His role includes acquisitions and negotiations, predevelopment due diligence efforts, market research, financial feasibility, deal underwriting, and securing financing. With TWG being a full-service developer, Mr. Curry also coordinates with design, preconstruction, construction, and management teams throughout the life of the project.
TWG’s market rate developments have recently expanded into Spokane, WA and Pittsburgh, PA with total costs in excess of $525MM across 2,900 units.
Mr. Curry graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2010 with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Political Science, and earned his J.D. from Indiana University – McKinney School of Law in 2013, where he served on the Indiana Health Law Review, Dean’s Tutorial Society, and founded the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Curry practiced law at Riley Bennett & Egloff, LLP where he represented clients in commercial and business litigation, as well as real estate transactions.
He serves on The Penrod Society “Evening with Penrod” committee supporting Indiana artists and enjoys traveling and the outdoors with friends and family.
Nina Robinson's Bio
Nina Robinson is the Regional Manager of Market Rate Properties. She specializes in new construction, lease-ups, managing commercial tenants, and employee development. Her responsibilities include overseeing the portfolio’s operational and financial performance to ensure the achievement of the established objective.
Nina has over ten years of property management experience and has a strong background in affordable, conventional, and Section 8 market. Nina has acquired her Housing Credit Certified Professional and Certified Apartment Manager Certifications. Nina joined TWG Management in January 2015.
Nina spends most of her free time with her husband and their two boys. When she does have free time, she enjoys going to concerts, Netflix binging, and family vacations.
Sam Rogers's Bio
Sam Rogers has been involved in the finance and real estate industries since 2000.
He graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2000 with a B.S. in Finance and International Business and minor in Political Science. After graduation, he spent 2 years in Real Estate Financial Consulting and 4 years in Construction related Manufacturing/Finance/Operations
Prior to joining TWG, Sam spent nearly 10 years with Duke Realty Corporation in various Underwriting, Capital Markets, and Transactional roles. While at Duke, Sam managed the company’s $1.1B Joint Venture with Chambers Street Properties managing all aspects of the venture from financial performance, leasing, development, legal, acquisitions/dispositions, accounting, asset management, and relationship management. Additionally, he was part of the transaction team for the company’s $1B Office disposition to Starwood Capital. Overall Sam has been involved in over $5.0B in transactional volume in his time at Duke.
Sam joined TWG Development in 2016 as a Development Director and oversees LIHTC developments in Indiana, Michigan, and Iowa. His responsibilities include acquisitions, due diligence, financial analysis and structure, and creating applications for project funding.
Sam is active in the community and currently serves on the board of the Penrod Society, St Richard’s Episcopal School, and Prevent Child Abuse Marion County.

Adam Vaal's Bio
Adam Vaal joined TWG in 2018 as an analyst in the finance department. Adam works closely with internal developers and external financing partners to close on development projects. His responsibilities include identifying debt and equity financing for LIHTC projects, managing due diligence, reviewing financing and partnership documents, and GP Dispositions.
Adam graduated from The University of Southern Indiana in 2011 earning his B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Financial Planning from Bryant University. While at USI, Adam co-founded and operated the Economics & Finance Club.
After a 5 year stint in Financial Planning, Adam joined the Development world with CREA, LLC in Indianapolis, where his responsibilities included underwriting new LIHTC apartment projects as well as reviewing the performance of existing projects in the portfolio.
Grant Financial Analyst's Bio
Grant Deaton joined TWG Development, LLC in 2020 as a Financial Analyst and serves the Market Rate Development and Finance departments. Grant assists with the team’s financing function while working closely with internal developers and external financing sources to close on projects. His responsibilities include underwriting new market rate and LIHTC development projects, managing due diligence, identifying debt and equity financing for LIHTC developments, and assisting in market rate asset disposition.
Grant graduated from the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business in 2020 earning a B.S. degree in Finance. While in school, Grant was involved in Greek Life as he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and served as the VP of Finance for the Interfraternity Council. He was also an avid member of the Finance Society.
In his free time, Grant enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their Golden Retriever, Baker, playing golf, going to the lake, and watching baseball. Although he is a Wildcat in Hoosier country, he roots for IU baseball as his little brother is a member of the team.
Joel Henney's Bio
Joel leads the team’s financing function while managing relationships with existing financial partners related to new transactions and existing properties in the portfolio.
Joel graduated from University of Cincinnati Linder School of Business earning a B.S. degree in Finance. Joel started his career with the Miller Valentine Group, where his responsibilities included sourcing, underwriting, and closing multifamily developments. Then Joel accepted a position at Herman and Kittle Properties, Inc. and spent 5 years there (the last 4 spent as the VP of Finance running their finance group). While at Herman & Kittle, Joel financed over 4,500 affordable and market rate apartment units in over 15 different states.
Joel joined TWG Development, LLC as the Vice President of Finance to continue to build and expand the company’s existing financing relationships, while focusing on project financing, deal structuring, and the closing process.
Joel spends most of his free time with his wife and 3 beautiful daughters. Weekends are spent traveling from soccer game to soccer game. When he does have spare time it is spent golfing, playing pickup basketball, and watching the NBA.
John Sullivan's Bio
John Sullivan joined TWG Development in 2013 and acts as the vice president of Tax Credit Development. Mr. Sullivan became involved in residential and commercial development and finance in 2006.
Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Sullivan served as a vice president of acquisitions for City Real Estate Advisors (CREA), a national syndicator of low income housing tax credits. In his role with CREA, Mr. Sullivan worked with LIHTC developers across the country to structure and close equity investments with institutional investors.
Additionally, Mr. Sullivan served in development and finance roles for Pedcor Investments and RealAmerica Development, both developers of affordable housing. At Pedcor Investments, Mr. Sullivan primarily focused on potential multifamily development opportunities outside of the company’s existing footprint. At RealAmerica Development, Mr. Sullivan coordinated the development and financing of multifamily and self-storage properties throughout Indiana.
Mr. Sullivan graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 2002 earning a B.S. degree with concentrations in Management and Legal Studies and in 2006 graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business earning an M.B.A. degree with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Lorenc Qorlaze 's Bio
Lorenc Qorlaze joined TWG Development, LLC in 2017 as a Senior Financial Analyst. Lorenc assists with the team’s financing function, helping manage relationships with existing financial partners related to new transactions and existing properties in the portfolio. His responsibilities include identifying debt and equity financing for tax credit projects, managing due diligence, and reviewing financing and partnership documents.
Lorenc graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 2014, earning a B.S. degree in Finance and Supply Chain Management, as well as a minor in Economics. Shortly after graduating, Lorenc joined CREA, LLC, where his responsibilities included underwriting new LIHTC apartment projects as well as reviewing the performance of existing projects in the company’s portfolio. While at CREA, LLC, Lorenc assisted in closing over 60 multi-family apartment projects ranging from $2 to $40 million in LIHTC equity per project.
While attending college at IUPUI, Lorenc was a Community Service Leader for the Center for Service and Learning. He volunteered with several non-profits throughout Indianapolis and helped with planning and coordinating multiple service events throughout the city.

Timika Johnson's Bio
Timika is currently the Compliance Director for TWG Management. Her position currently encompasses administering and maintaining compliance within the affordable portfolio by keeping abreast of changes relevant to the affordable housing industry. She is also responsible for the managing, tracking and response procedures for LIHTC audits, lease ups and state or investor audits.
She has 19 years of Affordable Housing experience. She began her career as an Occupancy Specialist for the Section 8 department at the Muncie Housing Authority. In 2007, she later transitioned to the LIHTC industry, where she held such positions as a Compliance Administrator, Assistant Property Manager and Senior Compliance Specialist. Timika holds a Bachelor of Administration degree in Management from Indiana Institute of Technology and an Associates of Applied Science degree from Harrison College. Additionally, she holds nationally recognized designations including Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) through NAHB and Tax Credit Compliance Systems (TaCCs) through Quadel.
