From offices in Indianapolis, Louisville and Central City, Ky, CDI services the commercial flooring and ceramic needs of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.

CDI opened it doors as Carpet Decorators in 1972, a traditional style residential floor covering store in Central City, Ky. In 1976 founders Harold and Carolyn Young welcomed son Mark (current CDI President) to the team and expanded into commercial work. Soon CDI was successfully performing work throughout the region. Their venture into commercial work was so successful that in 1985, the Young’s sold their residential division, to focus fulltime on servicing their commercial clients. In the late 1990s CDI added offices in Indianapolis and Louisville.

INNOVATIVE and professional, CDI is a third generation family business, backed by a management team that represents some of the most experienced and respected professionals in the area (see contact us tab on the main page) A strong installation base, many CDI installers are CFI (Certified Floorcovering Installers Association) accredited, as well as hold numerous manufacturer certifications.
