Skippack Welding Repair & Service is a member of The H&K Group, a family-owned and operated collection of vertically integrated companies serving the contracting and construction industries, with over 80 locations throughout eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.

The name "Skippack Welding Repair & Service" was established in 2010. Before Skippack Welding existed it was known divisionally within The H&K Group as "The H&K Group Welding Shop". The welding shop division was established in 1997 at The H&K Group's corporate headquarters in Skippack, PA. This division, armed with a small staff of dedicated and experienced welding technicians, was charged with fixing welding equipment and providing welding and fabrication services to The H&K Group's multiple facilities. As The H&K Group grew over the years, so did the staff at Skippack Welding and with this growth ultimately came the desire to branch out and service the external needs for welding repair and services outside of The H&K Group. This desire eventually materialized with the creation of Skippack Welding Repair & Service.
