Scope Of Work
The Case Athletic Center is home to Boston University’s Terrier Athletics and houses facilities such as the Walter Brown Arena, home of Terriers Women’s Ice Hockey and the Case Gymnasium, home of BU Basketball since 1972.
Kaplan was recently engaged to perform exterior and interior renovations to the state-of-the-art center. Kaplan installed a new entry staircase and ramp with an overhead canopy as well as new landscaping, site work, and replaced 6,500 SF of sidewalk. Interior updates included new finishes such as ceilings, flooring, and lighting, and a full upgrade to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Included in the renovation is a new ticketing office and lobby bathrooms. In addition, Kaplan oversaw upgrades to a second entrance and upgrading finishes in its lobby. The project was completed in late 2019.
