As chief operating officer and majority owner of Kaplan Construction, Jane Kaplan Peck, LEED AP is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring Kaplan’s financial security and viability.
In this role, Jane oversees business financial planning, working capital management and budget development for the company. She controls all financial activities, which include maintaining banking, brokerage and surety relationships, and manages the information systems for both accounting and project management.
As the second generation of the Kaplan Construction family, Jane has been immersed in the construction industry since a young age and has acquired a deep understanding of the business. Jane’s previous roles at Kaplan include project manager and financial & administrative manager. Before joining Kaplan in 2006, Jane served as an assistant project manager at Shawmut Design & Construction and as a project assistant/analyst at Leggat McCall Properties.
Jane is an officer on the board of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Group (SIG). She is also a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Boston and a board member of the Brookline Community Mental Health Center.
Jane earned a Bachelor of Arts in managerial economics from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.
Nathan Peck's Bio

As president, Nathan Peck, LEED AP is committed to continuing and furthering the level of quality, service and professionalism that has become Kaplan Construction’s signature over the past 45 years. Nate is responsible for providing strategic direction, fostering and maintaining client relationships and overseeing the management of projects. Nate previously served as a senior project manager for Kaplan and a senior project manager for the Boston office of Turner Construction.
Nate is a member of the Brookline Building Commission and sits on the board of directors for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Massachusetts Chapter and the Brookline Teen Center. He is also on the Brookline Community Foundation Building Committee and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.

John Chereski, LEED AP has over 20 years of experience developing construction estimates and coordinating preconstruction activities. Intensely committed to meeting his clients’ budget goals, John conducts cost analyses and value engineering throughout projects’ conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documentation phases. He also evaluates the availability of material and labor in relation to project schedules; assesses the constructability of architectural and engineering plans; and reviews and analyzes subcontractor proposals.
John joined Kaplan Construction in 1998, and his integrated and thorough approach to budgeting has helped him build long-term relationships with clients who know John has their best interest in mind. He takes the time to get to know his clients, understand their objectives, and work with them to make budgetary decisions, revising the pricing and approach if needed to ensure cost-effective results.
He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management.

Benjamin Hamm is a Kaplan PM with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. Aside from managing projects, Ben has performed various roles in both the office and field, including project engineer, field engineer, and maintenance superintendent.
As project manager, Ben oversees permitting; develops cost estimates and schedules; appropriates materials and personnel; coordinates logistics and phasing; and guides the procurement of subcontractors. He utilizes his strong communication skills to transmit the flow of information from the design team to subs and vice versa, ensuring that the end product meets both the original design intent and the client’s goals.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He is a Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB), holds a Construction Supervisors License (MA CSL), and is OSHA certified.
Heidi Aliski's Bio

With nearly 20 years in the design and construction industry, Heidi Aliski started her career as a designer/drafter before transitioning into project management. In addition to developing and overseeing Kaplan proposals, cost estimates, materials, and schedules, Heidi is responsible for project phasing and logistics plans, coordinating personnel, conducting contract negotiations, and working closely with all project stakeholders. Her background gives her a unique perspective on the design and construction process, one that serves her well as she works with owners, architects, and engineers to ensure Kaplan projects are built in accordance with construction documents.
Heidi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering technology from the University of Hartford and a certificate in construction management from Northeastern University. She is a Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB), holds a Construction Supervisors License (MA CSL), and is OSHA certified.
Jacqueline Maloney's Bio

As project manager, Jacqueline Maloney oversees project documentation and correspondence, scheduling, procuring materials, awarding subcontracts during the buyout phase, and facilitating the flow of information from the design team to subs and vice versa. Her strong engineering background, attention to detail, and strong communication skills have proven to be instrumental to the Kaplan project management team.
Prior to joining Kaplan, Jacqueline worked for Clark Construction Group and was involved in various high-profile projects including Square 50 and Sentinel Square III in Washington D.C. She also held internships with Turner Construction Company in New York City and The Walsh Group in New Cumberland, Pa.
Jacqueline earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a Master’s degree in engineering management from Cornell University. She is a Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB) and is OSHA certified.
Rachael Montosi's Bio

Rachael Montosi is a senior project manager with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She enhances Kaplan’s management team with her experience and knack for value engineering, tight budget control, and coordination of materials and schedules. Her demonstrated success in this area includes work on such high-profile projects as the renovation of the New England Aquarium’s Giant Ocean Tank and construction of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Museum of Medical History and Innovation and its state-of-the-art inpatient Lunder Building.
In addition to developing and overseeing proposals, cost estimates, and schedules, Rachael is responsible for phasing and logistics plans; appropriating materials and personnel; conducting contract negotiations; and working closely with all project stakeholders to ensure the success of her projects. Previously, Rachael served as a project manager for Turner Construction.
Rachael is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Boston and earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.

Sean Lepore's Bio

Sean Lepore has been an essential part of the Kaplan Construction team since 2013. As a senior project manager he offers over a decade of construction experience with a special expertise in virtual, multi-dimensional coordination through Building Information Modeling (BIM). Sean provides guidance with permitting, long lead items, scheduling, and other hurdles that arise in the early planning and design stages of the project. Leveraging BIM, he is able to play an integral role in those early stages, virtually constructing the project and streamlining project delivery from the start of the job. He is also responsible for coordinating phasing and logistics, developing proposals, appropriating materials, procuring subcontractors, and above all ensuring that his client’s vision is met. Sean’s prior experience as a superintendent has given him practical insights to a range of different projects, from smaller renovations to high profile build outs.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, holds a Construction Supervisors License (MA CSL), and is OSHA certified.
William Slaney's Bio

William Slaney is Kaplan’s operations manager and brings to the company over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Bill previously worked at Turner Construction, where he served many roles including project controls/ scheduling manager, MEP engineer, field engineer, project superintendent, and most recently, general superintendent. As operations manager, Bill oversees all field operations, project schedules, site logistics plans, safety program, and quality control. With his diligent attention to detail and efficiency, Bill ensures the safety, organization, and productivity of Kaplan job sites all while keeping projects in line with the design intent.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and an Associates of Science in business management from Dean College in Franklin, Mass. He is a Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB).
