Beacon Electrical Contractors

Dave is the executive vice president at Beacon Electric where he has been employed since 1989 and prior to that Chapel Electric. Dave received his associates degree in electrical engineering at Cincinnati Technical College in 1982 and is a licensed electrical contractor in various states. Following our Creators example in serving others has given him true meaning and purpose. He is a Board member of the Independent Electrical Contractors association, has served at Finneytown schools on the Superintendent Advisor committee and the Long-Range Facilities committee, GO Local outreach through Crossroads Church, and B2B ministries helping orphaned children around the world. He enjoys being part of his wife Carla’s Italian heritage and benefits from her outstanding interest in cooking. In his spare time, you’ll find him doing yard work and walking in the neighborhood for exercise.

Mr. Mellencamp has served as president of Beacon Electric since 1987, prior to that he was a Project Manager for Hatfield Electric in Columbus, Ohio.  Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Ohio State University.  He has served as President of the Ohio Valley Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors as well as President of Ohio ABC.

Mr. Mellencamp has participated on Inclusion Committees with Cincinnati Public Schools and has been a member of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce as well as various trade association education committees.

Joe has been active in youth sports as a coach and sponsor in West Chester, Ohio and enjoys golf, biking, and hiking having summited Half Dome and Mt. Whitney.
