Scope Of Work
We were hired to perform indoor air quality sampling in fifteen (15) separate suites. These were units that were 90% complete and had been cleaned for showing. We were asked to collect air samples looking at carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature and relative humidity, airborne particles, and airborne levels of mold.
Samples were collected over a one-day period from each of the areas selected. Most samples were datalogged, while the airborne mold samples were noted on a chain-of-custody and forwarded to an analytical laboratory.
Ultimately, the test results indicated that the indoor air quality was great. Our biggest concern for airborne particles and airborne mold was unfounded. The kinds of mold present indoors were the same as what was found in the outdoor air ... but the levels were much, much lower. Airborne particle counts that looked at construction dust also indicated that the levels were low. This means that the spaces could be shown, and once finished, could be lived in immediately with any concerns for indoor air quality.
